CONCLUSION

Michael and I have stayed in many hotels in the past and although nothing could beat our stay at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore because of their famous infinity pool, we both agreed that the Al Bustan Palace is definitely the best hotel we have stayed at. The staff were just so friendly and professional and our room was so beautiful complete with all the things we needed including complimentary wifi connection. The complimentary bottles of water get replenished everyday as well as the fruits. And the fact that the drinks from the minibar were also complimentary makes the nightly rate very reasonable. The food from the breakfast buffet was just excellent and the pasta (from their room service) was perfect too. The complimentary shuttle to the Old Town and Mutrah Souq was very much appreciated. And lastly, the pool and the private beach was perfect I could just stay in the water the whole day if only I wouldn't get sunburn. After our first night, we asked Mohamad, one of the receptionists for a possibility of a late check out since our flight to Doha was not until 11pm and we were granted check out until 4pm which was really impressive. For those who do not want to go to the Old Town/Mutrah Souq using their complimentary bus in the afternoon, the hotel offers a short tour inside the hotel (which we availed) and needless to say, we really enjoyed it specially when we got to see their presidential suites. The deposit of 200 rials (about 520 USD) asked upon check in was a bit high but it was also released the day after our check out which is one of the fastest we have experienced. If you are planning to visit Muscat and would need a hotel to stay at, there is no better place than the Al Bustan Palace!
